Rick Snoman is a producer, sound designer, mastering engineer and author. His credits include work with artists such as The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Steve Aoki and Nicky Holloway. As an Apple Certified mastering and mix engineer, he has delivered projects for labels including Sony Music Entertainment, Polydor Records, Warner Records, WEA International, Spinnin’ Records, XL Recordings, Anjunabeats and mau5trap.
He has presented internationally on music production and audio technology, including keynote talks at the NAMM Show in Los Angeles, and serves as Co Chair of Modern Music for the Audio Engineering Society. Through his work with the AES Education Committee, he has delivered presentations at conventions and educational events across the United States and Europe. He also contributed an essay to the Library of Congress on the cultural and historical significance of Frankie Knuckles and Jamie Principle’s *Your Love* for the National Recording Registry.
Rick is the author of *The Dance Music Manual* and *Beyond the Drop*. First published by Taylor & Francis in 2003, *The Dance Music Manual* is widely regarded as the foundational text on music production. The book has been translated into multiple languages and is used or recommended by universities and music production courses worldwide, including Harvard University and Yale University.
